NCEA Level 3 Physics
Subject Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs E. Butterworth.
Students will study the following topics:
- Mechanics expanding on topics from last year and introducing simple harmonic motion.
- Waves, traveling waves, standing waves, interference and Doppler Effect.
- Electricity study of AC and DC in capacitors, inductors and resistors.
- Atomic physics looking at nuclei of atoms and photons.
Recommended Prior Learning
At least 14 Credits (8 of which must be external) in NCEA Level 2 Physics.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
