NCEA Level 3 Applied Outdoor Education
Subject Description

In Level 3 Applied Outdoor Education students will be working towards Level 3 NCEA. This course focuses on providing students with skills and knowledge through learning in various outdoor environment settings.
Areas of learning include mountain biking, bike maintenance, outdoor safety management and performance improvement. This includes developing an understanding of outdoor educational skills where students can apply their learning to enhance their relationship with the outdoor environment.
This course will benefit students who wish to learn about themselves when faced with a challenge or who may be looking at future pathways in the outdoors industry.
Recommended Prior Learning
Full completion and participation in a PE course, with recommendation from their teacher.
