NCEA Level 3 Mathematics With Calculus

Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr S. English.

This course extends the work started in NCEA Level Two with an emphasis on Calculus. The course will help to gain skills in logical thinking and problem solving.

It is highly recommended that Students who are also studying NCEA Level 3 Physics should study Calculus.



Recommended Prior Learning

Achievement or better in the following NCEA Achievement Standards AS 91256, AS 91261 and AS 91262. Algebraic skills must be good to cope with the extension in Algebra.


Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

A scientific calculator or graphing calculator is essential. You are seriously disadvantaged if you do not have a graphing calculator. The current recommended graphing calculator is the Casio Fx9750gii.
