NCEA Level 3 Sculpture
Subject Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms M. Malcolm
This Technology course explores the process of development that turns a 2 dimensional design into a 3 dimensional one. The course structure follows that of a wide range of industries including the film industry and computer gaming when a new idea or product needs developing. For example students will produce a range of ideas then reduce that to one, explore a range of materials and methods to make it, make a model to work out any problems, then produce it full size. Students will be made aware of a wide range of influences, styles of drawing, sculpting materials and methods.
Recommended Prior Learning
It is preferred that students have studied Art at least to Year 10. Absolute beginners are at the discretion of the HOD Mrs Malcolm
