Subject Description

This course is divided into 3 main areas
- Performing music
- Study and research of music
- Compose music and songs
Students will be offered free instrumental tuition in piano, guitar, drums and voice.
In 2024 this course will offer at least 3 new achievement standards. These standards will be selected by the Music teacher in order to deliver the best outcomes for students.
Career Pathways include, Musician, Teacher, Music Producer, Composer, Sound Engineer and Music Therapist.
Recommended Prior Learning
Level 1 Music is mainly performance based. Students need to be capable of performing songs or pieces of music on an instrument or as a singer to a reasonable standard. As part of 11 Music, students will perform original music as well as covers.
