NCEA Level 1 Applied Outdoor Education

Level 1 Applied Outdoor Education focuses on providing students with basic skills and knowledge in various outdoor recreational settings. This includes developing understanding of Matauranga Maori concepts where students can apply their learning to enhance their relationship with the outdoor environment. 

This course will benefit students who are interested in the outdoors, who wish to learn about themselves when faced with a challenge or who may be looking at future pathways in areas such as outdoor recreation, environmental sciences, DOC and biosecurity protection of natural environments.

This course will offer a minimum of 15 credits.
