11DAN Subject Description Recommended Prior LearningNo prerequisites but a dance history or Maori performing arts is an advantage.
No Prerequisites for 2022 but a Dance or Maori Performing Arts background is an advantage.
Level 1 Dance is an addition to the Performing Arts area of the school that is being offered in 2022. Dance is a University Approved subject with a wide variety of standards that allow for many styles of dance to be explored, depending on your interests. You will learn to dance in a variety of different styles, including performing as a member of a group. Learning to choreograph your own dances is also part of this course.
