Recommended Prior LearningLevel 1 Music is mainly performance based. Students need to be capable of performing songs or pieces of music on an instrument or as a singer to a reasonable standard. As part of Level 1 students will create and perform original music as well as covers.

Music at Level 1 develops the skills learned in Year 10 Music. Performance is a big aspect of Level 1, with the students performing as soloists and as members of a group. Students will be offered free instrumental tuition in piano, guitar, drums and voice.
