Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr D. Shelford

The learning in Health at NCEA Level 3 course is an approved subject for entry to University and would complement anyone wishing to enter into social services or healthcare. Students will analyse societal issues and examine their impact on personal and societal wellbeing. Topics include a New Zealand health issue, an international health issue, health practices in contemporary New Zealand and current ethical issues in New Zealand.


Recommended Prior Learning

Literacy Level 2 NCEA and/or Level 2 Health 14 credits or at HOD’s discretion
