Subject Description

Students will study the following topics:

  • Mechanics expanding on topics from last year and introducing simple harmonic motion.
  • Waves, traveling waves, standing waves, interference and Doppler Effect.
  • Electricity study of AC and DC in capacitors, inductors and resistors.
  • Atomic physics looking at nuclei of atoms and photons.


Recommended Prior Learning

At least 14 Credits (8 of which must be external) in NCEA Level 2 Physics.
