This university endorsed subject explores the process of development that turns a 2 dimensional design into a 3 dimensional one. Student will study the sculpture of professionals and use these techniques to create their own unique works. Sculpture has a vocational pathway to jobs in the special effects, as well as film and theatre industries.
Please note: students can only do one of the following visual art subjects : level 1 sculpture, or photography and mixed media, or paint and print.
NCEA Level 2 Art Painting, NCEA Level 2 Design, NCEA Level 2 Photography, NCEA Level 2 Sculpture
Level 1 sculpture can lead to any visual art subject at level 2
Recommended Prior LearningIt is preferred, but not essential that students have studied Art in Year 10.
